Custom Window Drawer Bakery Boxes with Handle
This drawer box with handle features an arched top with a clear window, showcasing gifts and baked goods while keeping them easy to carry. A ribbon, cotton rope, or kraft paper handle adds a premium touch, while the sliding drawer box includes divider inserts to keep individual items secure. Made from 350 gsm food-grade kraft board, it is pre-folded for easy assembly without tape. Ideal for gift sets, bakery counters, and party favours, this bakery packaging combines attractive presentation with practical storage. For brands seeking a bakery box with window or versatile pastry boxes, we offer free stock samples, a 10,000 pcs MOQ, and 10–15 working days production time.
An Arched Sleeve Over a Drawer That Slides Out
The sleeve and the drawer are two separate pieces of board, and that is what makes the opening work. The sleeve carries the arched cross-section and the closed rounded end; the drawer is a shallow tray with matching rounded end walls that runs inside it on a full-length base. Pull the drawer forward and the contents travel with it, so nothing has to be lifted out of a deep well by hand. Because the drawer is shallow, it is loaded from the top, filled level and slid shut in a single movement. The drawer box you hand over is therefore as quick to pack as a flat carton and as rigid to carry as a boxed one.
A Clear Window That Shows the Product Before the Box Is Opened
A bakery box with window does more than decorate. It is a clear film set into the arch and spanning most of the top, so a customer sees the actual product, not a picture of it. That moves the selling moment forward: a buyer can check the finish of the pastries without asking for the lid to come off, and a host can decide on the spot what to order. The arc catches light along its top edge, which is why a windowed box photographs better than a flat-lidded one. The film is set to the profile of each size, and it can run clear, frosted, or printed with a brand pattern.
Board Weight, Window Film and Grease Control
Choose the board by what sits inside it and how long it sits there. 350 gsm food-grade kraft is the standard for dry pastries, cookies and candy; go up in weight when the box is long, because a long sleeve bows in the middle if the board is light. The window film sits on the food side, so anything oily or syrupy should be kept away from it by a liner or a divider. For a water-based coating, ask for a moisture-resistant option so condensation does not soften the board underneath. Every pastry boxes run is checked for caliper and moisture before the film is applied.
Threaded Handles, Divider Inserts and Printing
The handle is a separate material threaded through slots punched in the top of the sleeve, so the same drawer box with handle can be dressed for different occasions. Satin ribbon for weddings, cotton rope for a rustic bakery, herringbone tape for a premium retail line, kraft paper for a natural look. Divider inserts drop into the drawer and split it into rows, so tarts, cookies and candies sit apart instead of leaning on each other. Printing runs in CMYK or PMS with gold foil, spot UV and embossing, and because the board is still flat when it is printed, the artwork stays registered as it is folded over the arch.

In-house Production Facility
1. Raw Material Management
Kraft and white card arrive checked for caliper, moisture and fibre direction, then rest in a dry store so sheets stay flat before cutting. Every lot of drawer box board is logged against its mill batch, so a stiffness fault traces back to the reel.
2. Printing & Production
Artwork prints on flat sheets, then the sleeve, drawer, window aperture and handle slots are cut in one pass, which is how the arch stays symmetric. Each drawer box with handle run is proofed against a cutting template, so the film and handle line up on every unit.
3. Quality Assurance
Each batch is assembled in full, the drawer is run in and out, and the window is checked for haze and adhesion. Handle pull strength, drawer fit and board stiffness are logged per lot, so a drift on pastry boxes production is caught here, not at a counter.
4. Warehousing & Delivery
Finished boxes ship flat and pre-folded, banded by component with sleeves, drawers, inserts and handles counted separately, packed in double-wall cartons and stored off the floor. Cartons are labelled by size and artwork version, so a mixed bakery packaging order is picked without opening every case.
The drawer runs on a full-length base inside the sleeve, so it slides forward level instead of tilting and dropping the contents. It is a shallow tray rather than a deep cavity, which means the pastries sit close to the top and stay in place while it moves. The rounded end walls match the arch of the sleeve, so the drawer cannot catch on the way out. Load it from the top and close it in one movement; a full drawer box should come out of the sleeve with the contents shifted by no more than a few millimetres.
It depends on what touches the film. The window is bonded to the food side of the arch, so anything oily, glazed or sticky will sit against it, and a grease-resistant coating on the board does not protect the film itself. The practical answer is to keep oily items away from the window zone — line the tray with a food-grade sheet, or place the glazed pieces in a divider section at the closed end of the drawer, where the film does not reach. Tell us what the pastries are and how long they sit in the box, and we will specify the film and the liner on our own test line.
350 gsm food-grade kraft is the right default for dry pastries, cookies and candy in a box of normal length. The variable is length, not weight. A long sleeve spans further between the ends, so on a 60 cm box we move up in board weight, because a light board bows in the middle and the drawer then sits unevenly inside it. For anything moist or greasy, add a coating rather than more weight — weight stops the box bending, a coating stops the food marking it. Send us the box length and what goes inside, and we will recommend the board and the finish.
Yes. The handle is not glued or riveted on; it is threaded through slots punched in the top of the sleeve, so it is changed by unthreading it and pulling a new one through the same slots. That means one box can run as satin ribbon for a wedding order, cotton rope for a rustic bakery, herringbone tape for a premium retail line or kraft paper for a natural programme, without a new die. It also means a damaged handle can be replaced on site rather than scrapping the whole box. Handle colour and width are set when the order is placed.
